This CCA is aimed at individuals who have some proficiency in computer programming and wish to challenge themselves. In each session, students will collaborate with one another and discuss competitive coding concepts and questions while helping one another. The ultimate goal for the CCA is to participate in the National Olympiad in Informatics competition (for 2025). On top of that, the CCA could be involved in other similar events. This would allow students to showcase their skills and gain crucial experience participating in a competition. (In order for students to participate in the CCA, they will demonstrate coding proficiency by completing tasks in a coding language of their choice)
CAS Strand: Creativity
The CCA aligns with creativity by encouraging students to think outside of the box of conventional techniques. The aim of the CCA is to cultivate a group of problem solvers free of the bounds of conventional formulas, theories and rules.
Lasallian Principles: Inclusive Community
Promotes inclusion as it encourages collaborative discussion and helping each other to solve problems. It is expected that participants will have different strengths in problem solving. With those strengths, they would be able to help others with their weaknesses and vice versa, allowing for a development in teamwork. This would benefit students as it would teach them how to help their peers while receiving help from others.
