Music Ministry

Music Ministry

The Music Ministry offers students the opportunity to share their musical talents and voices in service to God. Part of LaCaYo, this ministry serves two key functions: firstly, as the mass choir leading congregational singing every mass, and secondly, by conducting Praise and Worship sessions outside the regular mass schedule, organized at agreed days and times. Additionally, the Music Ministry supports Grade 7 Enrichment sessions and 'Camp Koi', enriching these gatherings with soulful tunes. Throughout the year, the ministry hosts three Night of Worship events open to all students.

Practice sessions will be scheduled according to the availability of our dedicated team members.

CAS Strand: Creativity and Service

The Music Ministry aligns with the CAS strands of Creativity and Service. Students in this ministry have the opportunity to express their creativity through music, contributing their singing and instrumental talents in service to God. They actively engage in leading the congregation during Mass, enhancing the worship experience, and also conduct Praise and Worship sessions. Moreover, their participation in Grade 7 Enrichment sessions and Camp Koi demonstrates a commitment to serving the school community, blending creativity with meaningful service. This creative and service-oriented approach is consistent with the CAS program's principles and values.

Lasallian Principles: Faith in the Prescence of God

The Music Ministry reflects the Lasallian principle of Faith in the Presence of God by providing students with the means to serve through their musical talents and voices, fostering a profound connection to the divine. As part of LaCaYo, this ministry serves a dual role: leading congregational singing during masses, enhancing the spiritual experience, and conducting Praise and Worship sessions that deepen faith outside regular schedules. The ministry's commitment to Grade 7 Enrichment and Camp Koi, along with open Night of Worship events, exemplifies an inclusive community that welcomes all students, embodying respect for each person. Practice sessions are thoughtfully scheduled to accommodate the availability of dedicated team members, promoting an environment of dedication and faith.
