Cross Stitch Embroidery

Cross stitching was traditionally used for decorating household items such as tablecloths, dishcloths, or table linens. Nowadays, this type of embroidery serves as framed art and wall decoration. Participants of this CCA will learn from teachers and their peers how to cross stitch to create works of art while simultaneously practicing mindfulness.

CAS Strand: Creativity

Participants of this CCA will develop their critical thinking and creative thinking. Following patterns and/or creating original designs encourages self expression with the added benefit of the finished products which can be used to decorate home and work spaces with pieces of art that students feel personally connected to.

Members of this CCA are taught new skills and provided with opportunities to master them in a supportive and respectful environment.
