Cahaya Surya Bakti (CSB)

The aim of this CCA is to spread awareness of the needs of CSB (with regard to the students, school supplies and teachers).

Participants in this CCA will work each week to prepare for, organise and facilitate donation drives and events which will advocate for the work of CBS and raise valuable funds to support the organisation and communities that they work with.

Participants will also directly tutor/mentor students supported by CSB in English, Maths and Science.

Commitment to this CCA will therefore extend beyond the one hour a week CCA allocation and participants should be passionate, motivated, independent and collaborative.

CAS Strand: Service

This CCA is explicitly connected with service. By raising the profile and advocating for CSB, participants make a meaningful and measurable difference to the communities supported by the organisation.

Lasallian Principles: Quality Education

Without the support of CSB, these children that they support would have limited access to educational opportunities, which would limit their future trajectories and job prospects.
In participating in this CCA, participants will provide vital learning opportunities and support for the CSB community to provide quality education. Participants will also simultaneously develop important skills themselves when working with an international organisation, collaborating with peers and teachers and working on sustained and powerful projects.

Quality education should be available to all walks of life, thus we must not neglect the younger generation of any race or religion.
