Netball

Netball

Netball is a fast paced high intensity game played in teams. Unlike in basketball players can not move with the ball. Instead the team with the ball, through running, jumping, throwing and catching, attempts to move the ball into its goal circle from where a goal may be scored, while the opposing team uses defensive movements and strategies to prevent this and to gain possession. Players often become specialists in certain positions on the court (e.g. offensive or defensive) with rules dictating where they can move to.

This CCA consists of training sessions and the ability to represent the school in ACSIS competitions. Led by an experienced external coach students will practice increasingly complex drills, receive targeted training and learn to play as part of a team.
