CCA PolicY

CCA Policy

Every student in the secondary school is expected to participate in a minimum of ONE CCA per term during their enrollment at SJII.

Grade 9 students are expected to signup for a minimum of ONE Service and ONE other activity to support the Bronze NYAA program.

In term 2, Grade 10 and 12 students can choose whether or not to sign up for a CCA because of their impending external examination blocks.

NOTE: Student councils or student-led initiatives that are not approved CCAs and therefore not on the SOCS platform, do not count towards the one CCA per term expectation.

These initiatives and commitments can however be used as experiences for CAS for grade 11 and 12 students.

Attendance

Students are expected to have a 100% attendance record for their CCAs.

If a student is unable to attend a CCA session for any reason, it is expected that they contact their activity leader(s) in advance.

Withdrawal From CCAs

If a student wishes to withdraw from a CCA they must do so by the end of the second week (of the CCA term). After this date, requests will not be considered.

NOTE: If a student wishes to withdraw from a paid CCA there will be no refunds issued and all outstanding balances need to be paid (to compensate third-party providers).
