Rugby

In Rugby CCAs players engage in weekly training sessions to develop their rugby skills, match fitness and learn to work as part of a team which is very important, especially in a ruck. Students will come to understand tactics, game play, the requirements of particular positions, teamwork, discipline, physical fitness, resillience, and sportsmanship.

CAS Strand: Activity

Rugby is a physically demanding sport requiring players commit to their own personal training beyond CCA sessions to improve himself and prepare for the game. The game demands discipline, resilience, and mental toughness to be a successful player. Players who are willing to put in the time both on and off the field will be rewarded with victories, lifelong friends supportive teammates who you are willing to go into 'battle' for.

Lasallian Principles: Respect for All Persons and Quality Education

Our rugby program focuses on the holistic development of the player. We want our players to develop into respectful young people, with good values and strong character. Losing, setbacks and failure are a part of life and team sport in rugby.
