The Smile Foundation

The Smile Foundation aims to ensure equal access to healthcare for all. We aim to positively impact the lives of many individuals who find themselves unable to afford medical care due to exhausting all their financial aid. We will be partnering with hospitals like KKH, who welcome donations to support these patients' healthcare journeys. Through the fundraisers that we host within our school community, we will not only raise funds for those in need but also foster a sense of responsibility and compassion among students and staff because we all have the ability to help. Through our collaborative efforts as a community, our goal to help patients in need will definitely be achieved!

CAS Strand: Service

This CCA is linked to the Service CAS strand as it is an advocacy group that aims to raise awareness about patients who are unable to access the best healthcare due to monetary funds. It aims to further fundraise and support these groups of people, to reduce their financial stress and help them gain necessary access to healthcare.

Lasallian Principles: Concern for the Poor and Social Justice, Quality Education and Inclusive Community

Concern for the Poor and Social Justice: We will be raising funds for low income individuals to be able to afford healthcare, so that all people regardless of income can be treated under fair and equal medical conditions. This activity supports equitable access to healthcare, which is a fundamental aspect of social justice.

Quality Education: Through this cca we will also be spreading awareness about Singapore’s healthcare system and the ways in which we can contribute to advocating and raising funds for KKH in Singapore.

Inclusive Community: Through this cca we also hope that we are able to bring together a group of diverse people to advocate for this cause. This activity will also allow people, regardless of their background, ability or age to come together and bond while working for a good cause.
