Boys Football

Boy's football CCAs focus on the development the whole player. Students participate in drills to develop their skills, receive explicit coaching to develop knowledge of football tactics, review multimedia videos to understand the roles of different positions, and engage in activities to learn how to work effectively as part of a team.

Students full commitment to being punctual, open to learning and enthusiastic is a must if you are to attend these training sessions.

Throughout the two seasons, different age groups will be able to participate in the boy's football CCAs as dictated by the ACAMIS seasons. The three age groups are: 14U, 16U and 19U.

Members of the CCA will be picked to represent the school in the ACAMIS competitions.

CAS Strand: Activity

As an activity, students need to by physically fit and will be physically challenged. Warm up and cool down exercises are an important part of this CCA to prevent injuries. During each session students will engage in a range of activities and drills to build aerobic and anaerobic strength and endurance to prepare them to play competitive games.

Lasallian Principles: Respect for All Persons

As football is a physical game it is important that all players remain respectful of their teammates and the opposition. This is modelled and explicitly taught during training sessions. Students of all abilities are welcome to join this CCA, acknowledging that all participants can continue to improve their skills and learn from and work with others.
