Orchestra

Orchestra

Orchestra involves weekly rehearsals where students rehearse and perform challenging pieces as a symphonic ensemble. Music ranges from Western Art Classical, to Film, Disney and Pop. This is not an ensemble for beginner players and students must be a minimum or Grade 4 on their instrument, or have played for 5 years and have a good level of sight reading.

Orchestra members will be involved in two major concerts and occasional assemblies. 'Musical Moments' in Term 1 and 'Ode to Joy' in Term 2. All members of orchestra need to acquire formal blacks for performance events.

Pianists are welcome to join the percussion section, however there are limited spaces available for these spots.
