Model United Nations (MUN)

Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the United Nations where students play the role of delegates from different countries and attempt to solve real world issues with the policies and perspectives of their assigned country.

CAS Strand: Creativity

In MUN, students are challenged to reach a consensus through compromise and listening to one another, understanding different perspectives of other nations. This involves creative problem solving, debate, extensive research and a strong understanding of current affairs.

In MUN, students are challenged to reach a consensus through compromise and listening to one another, understanding different perspectives of other nations. They must conduct themselves in a calm, respectful and diplomatic manner. Due to the focus on extensive research and supporting arguments with factual evidence, MUN students are well-informed. They fight for justice, for the rights of all peoples and strive for harmony and peaceful community between all nations.
