CAS Strand: Activity

To become a complete player, basketballers need to by physically and mentally tough. CCA sessions aim to improve students athleticism, speed, strength, and endurance with drills designed to support students ballhandling, shooting, scoring, and playmaking.

Lasallian Principles: Respect for All Persons

Members of this basketball CCA will exhibit respect for themselves, teammates and the opposition. In basketball, the ultimate opportunity for respect is between the player and coach. Coaches have the difficult task of uniting individuals in a group, developing a strategy, and implementing that strategy through the actions of their team. It is important therefore that students trust the coach, their knowledge and their motivation to help all players develop, improve their basketball skills and succeed. Furthermore, ‘Good sportsmanship’ will underpin this CCA during friendlies, scheduled fixtures and competitions.
