This Academic English CCA will focus on key skills essential for success in the IB Diploma Programme, including:
Academic writing and argumentation
Effective communication strategies
Understanding academic and subject-specific vocabulary
Navigating the linguistic demands across IB subject areas
CAS Strand: Creativity
Learning a new language is a creative process itself. Therefore, the students will be able to expand their brain's ability to think more creatively during our CCA. In addition to that, knowing other languages enhances your worldview introducing you to new cultures and ways of thinking.
Lasallian Principles: Inclusive Community and Quality Education
Students not only learn another language to supplement the education they receive at school, but also about the cultures of English speakers all over the world. This engenders an appreciation and respect for other people and their ways of life that might be different to their own.
