This project enables students to respond to an authentic need, and make a meaningful contribution to our global community and society. As students, the project allows students to empathise with and support learners who may not be able to access education due to their circumstances. Activities are planned in collaboration with Amala Education's representative in Singapore, and further allows interaction and collaboration with students from another international school which has supported Amala since its inception.

Lasallian Principles: Respect for All Persons, Inclusive Community, Quality Education, Concern for the Poor and Social Justice

This project allows students to advocate on behalf of those who are marginalised or who may lack visiblity as a result of their refugee or displaced status. Through advocacy initiatives, those involved and our school community will be able to learn about the situations which have resulted in displacement, and disruption to education. The High School Diploma and Changemaker Courses are designed to provide refugee learners with access to a quality education. The Changemaker Courses are about empowering young refugees to lead changes within their communities, resulting in a more inclusive community.
