The Mindfulness & Meditation CCA offers a calm, reflective space for students to cultivate focus, awareness, and compassion through shared practice. All participants begin as learners—no experience is required.
Each session starts with a guided meditation using the Headspace “Beginner’s Course”. The remaining time is devoted to mindful dialogue and reflection, where students practice voluntary sharing, non-judgemental listening, and non-violent communication.
As the term unfolds, sessions will include walking meditation and philosophical conversations inspired by the “Blab Lab” approach described by Alan Watts—an informal, Zen-style forum for open inquiry where ideas are explored playfully rather than debated competitively. In later weeks, students may explore more advanced techniques for deepening concentration and self-understanding.
