The Calm Collective

The Calm Collective

The Calm Collective is a CCA that promotes internal well-being. In the Club every week, there will be new activities for the students to destress and have fun. The activities will consist of but are not limited to: knitting, watching movies, reading, table tennis, tennis, basketball, meditating, board games, learning how to play the ukulele, trying different types of art, learning how to play chess and talking to relax with oneself. The CCA aims to help students relax, bond, and learn while escaping the demanding workload of high school.

CAS Strand: Creativity and Activity

This CCA is aligned to creativity as it creates space for participants to explore different activities that they may be good at, like learning an instrument, art or chess. These experiences will support students to identify their skills and strengths while concurrently encouraging bonds between students as they interact and learn with and from each other.

Students will also engage in physical activities which provides an alternate strategy to help students relax and unwind with a touch of healthy competitiveness.

Lasallian Principles: Inclusive Community and Quality Education

The intention of this CCA is to foster an inclusive community, where students can relax and learn many new things together. Relationships will be fostered with student participants from grades 7-12, helping students connect by engaging in a diverse range of experiences and activities.

Quality education is holistic and not limited to academic pursuits. This CCA provides space for students to learn about their skills, passions, and interests in a safe and supportive environment.
