Refuge
The aim of this CCA is to awareness and support for refugees. Participants in this CCA will compose and release articles to the local community about ongoing refugee crises and empower people to make a difference.
Participants will also be integral in the organisation of the 'Refuge' annual thrift store as well as the sale of goods online with all proceeds donated to support refugees around the world.
CAS Strand: Service and Creativity
This CCA is aligned with service, as it is an advocacy group that aims to raise awareness about refugees. It aims to further engage and educate the community about the different crises around the world which have forced people to become refugees and be able to contribute to achieving peace and equality in our world.
Lasallian Principles: Inclusive Community, Concern for the Poor and Social Justice and Respect for All Persons
Participants in this CCA are motivated to make a difference in the lives of others. Motivated by their conviction that all persons are important, need to be respected and have equal access to education, healthcare and opportunities.
