In this CCA Students will be introduced to a range of yoga styles, and practices that will help students to self-regulate, reduce stress, enhance sleep and improve mental health and wellbeing.

Students will be lead through a series of poses, breath practices, and movements, culminating each class in a extended savasana.

CAS Strand: Activity

Yoga sessions fit under the Activity strand of CAS as the exercises will enhance flexibility and strength. Additionally, we will try and build up on the intensity, repetitions and time in poses and mindfulness throughout the 12 week block to build on strength, energy levels and flexibility .

Lasallian Principles: Inclusive community and Respect for all persons

Throughout the program all participants will be supportive of each other, regardless of previous experience or familiarity with the exercises or fitness level and ability. The knowledge from this CCA will provide students an understanding of mindfulness, relaxation and physical exercises that can be maintained and fostered throughout each person's life, which will help to enhance each persons physical and mental wellbeing.
