Marimba Club

This CCA allows to students to learn and perform on SJII's beautiful handmade African Marimbas as part of ensemble. Music genres include traditional African, Jamaican, Calypso and pop arrangements. The Marimba CCA often work towards performance events, Term 2 may potentially include Sing Gala Performance and End of year Assembly Performance.

No experience necessary. Ability to read music an advantage but not necessary.

CAS Strand: Creativity

Performing as part of a large ensemble and musical community is an incredibly enriching and rewarding experience. Marimba Club gives students the opportunity to develop their musical skills, interpretation of various genres of music and ultimately work together to create and perform beautiful music.
