Crochet Club

Crochet Club

In this CCA, students will learn to crochet and then work on a project of their choosing. Teachers support students in learning key crocheting skills and receive ongoing guidance throughout the 'project'. There may be a small cost for materials once the students select their project dependent on the size and unique nature.

CAS Strand: Creativity and Service

This CCA is aligned with the creativity and service strands. By creating a piece of art and working with their hands students are able to challenge themselves and learn in a collaborative environment. Students also have the ability to and are encouraged to donate their finished works to a range of service organisations. Furthermore, experienced crochet students work alongside new members of the club and share their knowledge and expertise.

Lasallian Principles: Quality Education and Concern for the Poor and Social Justice

Members of this CCA are taught new skills and provided with opportunities to master them in a supportive and respectful environment. Furthermore, by completing projects to be donated to members of the extended community in need, students are making a meaningful impact and are empowered to be change makers.
