Holy Cow

Participants in this CCA will raise awareness of the issue of stray cows in India and indirectly support service providers by fundraising money to help solve this problem.

CAS Strand: Creativity and Service

This project aligns with the creativity strand as it will involve coming up with original ideas on how to raise awareness about our cause, as well as raise money for the charity.

The project also aligns with the service strand since the charity aims to care for stray cows, prevent the spread of diseases, lower the number of attacks on civilians and crops, and make organic fertiliser. This helps society, animals, and the environment.

Lasallian Principles: Concern for the Poor ans Social Justice and Respect for All Persons

The CCA supports concern for the poor and social justice as many in rural areas are affected by stray cows. This is because the cows attack their crops, or attack them. The stray cows are also unethically slaughtered at times for beef or leather, and can pollute the environment. This CCA also supports respect for all persons as the charity we work with aims to protect people from getting diseases from the cow dung or getting attacked by the cows.
