Folk SOngs

This activity provides the opportunity for students to learn folk songs of various countries in a fun and enjoyable way.

CAS Strand: Creativity

The activity engenders a love for folk songs which have been increasingly neglected in the twenty-first century. By learning to sing folk songs from around the world, students will understand the cultures and traditions of those who wrote and performed them originally. Students will be encouraged to share and perform songs from their own backgrounds while simultaneously learning about and performing the songs of their peers.
