Negotiation is a practical life skill and a vital part of law, business, leadership, and everyday decision making. In this CCA, students will take part in simulated negotiations and interactive activities to learn how to think strategically, communicate persuasively, and solve problems creatively. They will explore different negotiation strategies, identify interests and leverage, and practise responding under pressure in a safe and engaging environment. Students will also build confidence in compromise, collaboration, and conflict resolution.
CAS Strand: Creativity
The Negotiation Club aligns strongly with the Creativity strand of CAS. Students engage in original thinking and develop their creative thinking abilities. Students will have to practise structuring arguments, resolve disputes, and play different roles. This requires improvisation and adaptive thinking skills.
Lasallian Principles: Quality Education, Respect for all persons
Respect for All Persons
Students are taught to engage with each other empathetically, understand opposing viewpoints and resolve conflict through dialogue.
Quality Education
By helping students develop critical skills such as communication, problem solving and reasoning, the CCA supports the holistic formation of students.
