Mountbatten

Mountbatten Vocational School

Students have an opportunity to engage and bond with students afflicted with various learning disabilities, at the Mountbatten school. Students participate in the various CCA activities offered by Mountbatten Vocational School and have the opportunity to work with the leaders to introduce and lead activities they plan.   The CCA's on offer include:

CAS Strand: Service

Through this service, students will work alongside experienced CCA leaders and groups of students from the Mountbatten School. They have the opportunity to learn a new skill, e.g. sign language along with the students from the school or to share they own passion and skill, e.g. art.  Through this service, students will develop and apply personal and social skills. They will have the opportunity to use their initiative to design and lead an activity.

Lasallian Principles: Inclusive Community and Respect for All Persons.

This service at its core focuses on inclusive education. A community where diversity is respected, where no one is left out and where everyone finds a place. There is a strong focus on recognizing and accepting each others strengths and limitations.

Student Testimonial: This service was really eye opening as it helps in many different experiences. What this CCA provides impacts us students greatly as we go to a disabled school and help the students there interact during their CCA. There are multiple different activities we could take part in like song signing, art, gym, cycling and more.
